The latest Ubuntu news: The release stable version of Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" is now available for download [free] on the official Ubuntu website. Ubuntu 10.10 is an updated version of Ubuntu 10.04 and it was released on October 10, 2010. The Ubuntu 10.10 has come up with a few appealing changes in addition to Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. There are exciting news for Ubuntu geeks who are eagerly waiting for the final release of Ubuntu 10.10.

Though music lover would like to have media bottons on toolbar like MS media player, but never the less its great and very interesting change.

Ubuntu 10.10 has got a new default font. The new Ubuntu font family is known as Libre font  released and licensed under the Ubuntu Font Licence. The font change was expected with the new release. It also lifts the new look and gels nicely with the light theme.
