Best of Android based Tablet PCs
Since the inception of Android, Tablet PC's definition has changed from a handy PC to become a hybrid between a Smartphone and a Tablet PC. Mobile manufactures have been trying hard to come up with something out of box, and this summer the best of the Android based Tablets will be released. The first is Notion Ink's Adam and the other is Dell Streak. Both of them are based on Android and are far more advanced than any other tablets or Smartphones. Both the hybrids are more or less same with 1 GHz processor, 1080p HD video playback, WiFi, Bluetooth, SD card, USB, etc but Adam is bit unique and clearly stands out amongst the two android based Tablets.
Let's first begin with the Notion Ink's Adam.
Adam
Notion Ink is one of the budding technology innovators and have done incredible job by developing their dream Tablet PC called Adam, which is powered by Tegra-Android. Adam is a 10.1 inch tablet with unique 180 Swivel camera and Ultra Low Power NVidia Graphics card. The Adam team has also planned to come up with Pixel Qi Display which means you can have better outdoor experience.
Developer Team: Notion Ink, India
Hyderabad based Notion Ink is powered by six brilliant brains from IITs and One MBA graduate and all of them are around 24 years old.
What's unique about Adam?
Eye catchy:
Light sensor with Pixel Qi screen makes it soothing to the eye, with faster refresh rate and uses fully saturated colours and that makes it eye catchy.
Innovations:
Swivel camera, 3.2MP 180 degree camera for still photography and video.
Backside trackpad, built at the back of Adam, allows you to control mouse cursor or other Adam functions.
The Adam team has filed for patents on Swivel camera and Back track pad.
Longer Battery Life:
With low power NVidia Tegra 2 chipset and power efficient Pixel Qi screen, Adam allows 48 Hours of standby, 8 hours of 1080p HD video playback, that’s way ahead of Apple's I-pad.
Better Gaming and Video experience:
NVidia Tegra 2 is ten times faster than graphics card used in typical smart phones and believe it or not you can play three 1080p HD videos simultaneously. The Geforce graphics will surely give better gaming experience.
Powered by Android:
Android is an Open source Mobile OS, and three cheers for Adam team who have scaled Android to Tablet screen size. There are numerous devices based on Android and future surely belongs to the new flavour of Open Source community. Adam will definitely attract lot of freelance developer which will reduce the software expense.
Notion Ink is planning to release Adam in coming summer in USA and hope it will soon release in India too. Best of luck to Notion Ink and hope Adam will revolutionise global tablet user experience.
